**Out of Stock** I am temporarily out of stock on the Metro Saladacco Spiral Slicer Garnishing Machine. I expect to receive a new shipment in mid January 2010. Raw foodists, cooks, gardeners, caterers and veggie lovers alike will be delighted with the Metro Spiral Slicer. This style of spiral slicer is sometimes called a Spiralizer, and it is a truly wonderful little machine that makes succulent angel hair type noodles out of firm vegetables such as zucchini and summer squash. The Spiral Slicer Garnishing Machine not only produces continuous spirals (strands) of veggie, angel hair like pasta, but with the flip of a lever, delicate ribbons (ruffles) emerge. You simply cut your fresh, raw vegetables into sections no longer than 3 1/2" with both ends straight and parallel to each other so that the vegetable may be held firmly by the teeth and center pin. Then position the vegetable on the cutting tray, lock the cover in place by turning it counter clockwise, and rotate the handle forward while pressing downward with the palm of your hand. A bowl at the base collects your spirals. You can create many different effects by altering or adding the initial cut to the vegetable before spiralizing. Your creativity can make your food as eye appealing as it is appetizing. The Spiralized veggie ribbons and strips are great for garnish, in pasta or marinated dishes, as toppings for salads and pizzas, as garnishes for hostess platters, for hash brown potato nests, and even for perfect onion rings. This is a great way to eat more variety of raw foods which are packed full of nutritious live enzymes. The Spiral Slicer introduces new textures to your foods allowing you to enjoy vegetables that would be traditionally eaten cooked. Texture has a lot to do with how appetizing our food is, and the Spiral Slicer helps you acquire the kind of taste in raw food that heat brings to cooked food. Food texture also plays an important part in creating our comfort foods, and the Metro Spiral Slicer Garnishing Machine brings you new texture variations to experiment with, as well as enhance your tried and true recipes. Don't forget to give carrots, cucumbers, onions, beets, sweet potatoes, daikon radish, parsnips, and winter squash a swirl too, for plate fulls of rich colors, as well as nutrition. Shipping: Free Shipping with UPS Ground to the 48 US States! Additional shipping charges will apply for Canada, Hawaii, and Alaska. Questions?
