The two juicers are made in the same factory and Omega just puts their label on the Hurom. There are a couple small differences in the body design, such as handles on the Hurom's body and juice collecting container.
New Updated Model, August 2010I received a brand new shipment of juicers in August 2010. The new models have the following improvements over the juicers sold before August 2010:
* Hurom has changed their juice collecting container to a more traditional handle design versus the previous integrated handle, and it will hold just over 40 ounces of juice.
* Model Upgrade - These are the 2nd generation Hurom juicers. The second generation has an improvement to the bowl that increased the pulp ejection outlet size to allow for better ejection and prevent backing up from occurring.
This improvement as we've seen it does in fact reduce down the pulp we've seen pass into the juice side when users are aggressively juicing and pushing too much too fast into the feed chute.
Remember, these are slow juicers, so if there is pulp coming out the juice side, the user should slow down; there is no reason why simple gravity feeding shouldn't be enough on these uprights.
* Warranty Change - With the move to this next generation,
Hurom has changed its warranty to 10 years on the motor and 1 year on parts. So juicers sold from here forward will come with this warranty only.

* The Hurom Juicer now has a UPC code on it, 8809069587000
* The rubber pad on the underside of the bowl is now attached to the bowl so it is less likely to be lost while cleaning. It is attached with a screw so it can be pivoted out of the opening for cleaning.

Hurom Juicer 220 Volt model to my offering. (The 220 volt is for use outside North America.)

The Hurom Slow Juicer HU-100 arrived at 10:45AM this morning (right on time). Opened box -- read operating instructions and proceeded making my first and inaugural juice which I dubbed Jeff's Super Green Monster consisting of: collard greens, broccoli, Italian parsley, watercress, string beans, green pepper, lime, garlic, ginger, rosemary, sprouts (alfalfa, radish, onion and fennel) and granny smith apple. WOW!!!! It was GREAT - TREMENDOUS AND FANTASTIC!!!!!! If this is any indication as to what the future will bring with the Hurom Juicer -- I'm very satisfied. Hit me back with any comments or ideas.

I received my Hurom Juicer today. I've already made a couple batches of juice tonight, and I have to say, the juicer is AMAZING. It's ridiculously quiet, the pulp is dry, cleaning was fast and easy. I absolutely couldn't be happier with the juicer. WHEW! I really think I made the right choice!
From watching EVERY video on YouTube about the Hurom juicer, I really thought it was too good to be true. But after using it, I can honestly say it's even better than I thought it would be.
